Longfellow Redux

Come join us in celebrating the 200th birthday of Henry Wabsworth Longfellow, famed poet and Nahant Summer resident. Christoph Irmscher, professor of English, University of Indiana, and author of the newly published book Longfellow Redux will share an illustrated talk featuring stories, events and images related to the poet and his family. Prof. Irmscher is the curator of Harvard University's bicentennial tribute to Longfellow, now being held at the Houghton Library, as well as writer of the accompanying exhibit catalogue.

The puplic is welcome. Light refreshments will be served. Prof. Irmscher's book will be available for purchase.

Note: As parking is limited at the Nahant Community Center, shuttle van service will be available from St. Thomas Aquinas Church parking lot at 248 Nahant Road between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m.
